Equine science students learning to identify parts of the horse.

Course Description

This course introduces students to basic horse handling, safety, and daily care and management. It is required for all equine minors. Through weekly practice, students become proficient with haltering, leading, grooming, and stall cleaning in this course. Further topics that are introduced are colors, markings, breeds, nutrition, reproduction, and conformation.
